The ultimate gift that gives – a home made meal

A little post out of character – one that doesn’t involve buying anything (well other than ingredients) – but it is just such a wonderful site that I have to share it.

As we get older expand our social networks, unfortunately, more and more people we know seem to be touched by tragedy, whether it be a tragic accident, illness, surgery or  stress of some kind. A helpful and truly touching way to show you care is to make a meal. But really, why wait for when tragedy strikes, a meal is amazing when a new baby is born, end of year exams approach or when one is so stretched to capacity that cheese on toast or two-minute noodles all round looks likely.

Takethemameal.com is a free website that enables you to easily coordinate performer5 coupon code a meal schedule for someone. It is just soooooo simple,  you simply create a schedule filling in the details of where the meal is to be delivered, number of meals to be provided and any  dietary requirements. Send an email off to people who want to provide a meal then they simply log in (with a password) pick the day that suits them to provide a meal, and note what they intend to make – no more receiving 5 lasagnas in a row!  Reminders are even sent to you the day before you are scheduled to provide a meal so no chance of forgetting!

I just had to post this site as a ‘site we love’ – it may not be about socially conscious shopping, but really – it’s just a nice thing to do!
